SOILWORK: Steel Bath Suicide

I discovered Soilwork around the same time I was listening to In Flames in 1999/2000. If you listened to one, then you most likely listen to the other. These two bands were almost inseparable as they were each in the others music videos.

In flames became the popular band between the two and I think it comes down to the vocal style and music arrangements. I feel Soilwork is a heavier band but never got the recognition that In Flames had received.

Either way, Steel Bath Suicide is a solid kick ass album. “Speed” on the vocals feels more aggressive than Anders.

This is a good opening album for any band. My personal favorite is A Predator’s Portrait, but this is the one that started it off.

Here is the track listings...

1. Entering The Angel Diabolique
2. Sadistic Lullabye
3. My Need
4. Skin After Skin
5. Wings Of Domain
6. Steelbath Suicide
7. In A Close Encounter
8. Centro De Predominio
9. Razorlives
10. Demon In Veins
11. The Aardvark Trail

Platty's Editor Note: Skin after skin, sin after sin but only 3 squirts of my venom!
