OPETH: Deliverance

Benjamin Dover
November 04, 2021

We reached 50 unique reviews so now we can review the albums of our choosing and I will start with Opeth’s Deliverance. Everyone and their Grandma claims Blackwater Park is their best, but I disagree.

Deliverance is 97% metal and a few percent of other elements. Their other releases prior to this one are excellent albums but have a mix of metal and slower material.

This album is a full metal ride in a dump truck rolling through a nitroglycerin plant.

My buddy Moe wrote the In Cauda Venenum review and I am with him, the newer music is nice and all, but I miss the old Opeth.

When I am missing Opeth this is the album I listen to.

Here is the track listing...

1. Wreath
2. Deliverance
3. A Fair Judgement
4. For Absent Friends
5. Master's Apprentices
6. By the Pain I See in Others

Platty's Editor Note: I almost got 5 but I'll have to settle for 4 out of 5 squirts of venom!

About Platty

He doesn't care about the satire news bullshit anymore and wants to only bring music reviews to the people.

He isn't the founder anymore of a old consortium called the NeoDemoRepublicLiberTeaConserveAsshole Party.

He brings the music reviews that you don't want at any cost.
