GREEN CARNATION: The Quiet Offspring

Mike Litorus
October 19, 2021

Green Carnation was created by a former member of Emperor Terje Vik Schei. He formed the band prior to joining Emperor.

I stumbled upon this album when I heard “Pile of Doubt” and was hooked.

Unfortunately, after listening to the complete album, this song was the only one that stood out.

I give each new album that I listen at least six spins before I make a judgement, but I couldn’t get into this one. I did try but it didn’t work out.

What do you think?

Here is the track listing...

1. The Quiet Offspring
2. Between The Gentle Small & The Standing Tall
3. Just When You Think It's Safe
4. A Place For Me
5. The Everlasting Moment
6. Purple Door, Pitch Black
7. Childs Play - Part I
8. Dead But Dreaming
9. Pile Of Doubt
10. When I Was You
11. Childs Play - Part II

Platty's Editor Note: I can only squeeze out 2 out of 5 squirts of my venom for this one.

About Platty

He doesn't care about the satire news bullshit anymore and wants to only bring music reviews to the people.

He isn't the founder anymore of a old consortium called the NeoDemoRepublicLiberTeaConserveAsshole Party.

He brings the music reviews that you don't want at any cost.
