GRIP INC.: Power Of Inner Strength

Chit Ferbrauns
December 18, 2021

Dave Lombardo left Slayer in 1992 and then helped create Grip Inc. after the birth of his daughter. Grip Inc. released three decent albums then Dave put Grip Inc. on hiatus when he re-joined Slayer in 2001. They released one more album in 2004 before calling it quits in 2006.

There were plans to bring Grip Inc. back in the future but Gus Chambers, the vocalist, died in 2008 and that put an end to any return.

Do they sound like Slayer? Maybe, maybe not. You make the decision.

If you say yes, then why is Grip Inc. considered to be a Groove Metal band?

Speed vs Heaviness. That is a whole new discussion.

Here is the track listing...

1. Toque De Muerto
2. Savage Seas (Retribution)
3. Hostage To Heaven
4. Monster Among Us
5. Guilty Of Innocence
6. Innate Affliction
7. Colors Of Death
8. Ostracized
9. Cleanse The Seed
10. Heretic War Chant
11. Longest Hate

Platty's Editor Note: Don't deny the power of inner strength, right! But only enough power for 3 out of 5 squirts of my venom!
